Killing Machines of India

The armed forces are deployed in Kashmir killing innocent people ruthlessly. They even can’t let go of minor kids in 7th & ninth grades. NIA conducts raids on a daily basis to harass the local populace in Kashmir. The people in IIOJK, particularly the Kashmiri Valley, are paying a heavy price for India’s Kashmir policy the Indian government and its air-dropped administration in Kashmir are busy in its usual pomp and show, and the people of the territory continue to suffer from rising unemployment, development deficit and inflation as never before.

All the democratic institutions in IIOJK have been diluted to fit in the vision of a particular political party and there is fear, anxiety, concern, and insecurity everywhere, and Kashmiri youth, have been pushed to the margins.

The votaries of muscular policy in IIOJK need to take a step back and ask the Indian government if such a policy has succeeded elsewhere in the world. “The post-2019 policy landscape of Kashmir has no space for dialogue. It only relies on obliterating the legacy and icons of the region’s constitutional and historical uniqueness. This has to change. There can be no headway without changing this. BJP & RSS have to learn that Peace cannot be achieved through force

Agneepath – An Eye Wash for Indian Youths

The Union Cabinet on 14 June had approved a recruitment scheme for Indian youth to serve in the Armed Forces. The scheme is called AGNEEPATH and the youth selected under this scheme will be known as Agniveers.

According to the government, AGNEEPATH scheme has been designed to enable a youthful profile of the Armed Forces. It will provide an opportunity to the youth who may be keen to don the uniform by attracting young talent from the society who are more in tune with contemporary technological trends and plough back skilled, disciplined and motivated manpower into the society.

However, under the new Agnipath scheme, around 45,000 to 50,000 soldiers will be recruited annually, and most will leave the service in just four years. Of the total annual recruits, only 25 per cent will be allowed to continue for another 15 years under permanent commission.

This is another example of the BJP government's incompetence: They want to treat Indian Youth like a tissue paper “Use & Throw”. If they want to induct this vibrant youth they should have to provide them with “Job Security”.

There is question that why the BJP is going to implement the Agnipath Scheme at a time when India is facing challenges on two fronts? This is unnecessary it would definitely reduce the operational effectiveness of Indian armed forces and compromise national security.

Minorities are being killed relentlessly in India

The US State Department is concerned about persistent attacks on religious minorities and their places of worship in India in the year 2021.

According to the US State Department's annual report to Congress on worldwide religious freedom, attacks on members of minority communities in India in 2021, including killings, assaults, and intimidation, occurred throughout the year. These attacks included 'cow vigilantism' against non-Hindus based on suspicions of cow slaughter or beef trade, according to the report..

This is the second time in less than two months that the US has directly expressed uneasiness about a rising trend in human rights violations in India.

The number of attacks on religious figures and places of worship in India has increased, according to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who released the report at the State Department's Foggy Bottom headquarters on 02 June 22, asserting that Washington will continue to defend religious freedom around the world.

We Indians should consider what kind of world we live in and let go of the delusion that no one is monitoring us and our heinous and discriminatory behaviour.
